Edit to my below Review - Virgin Holidays did eventually refund me my deposit in full and i am grateful for that. I still find it rude that they did not give me any method to contact them during the below period, and hence they lose a star for that, but in the end they made good and for that i am grateful.Due to pay my balance today on a 8k family holiday to Florida in July out of London Gatwick. I have paid 875 pounds deposit so far (luckily no more),but I cannot get hold of the company to discuss options on travel and it still says that the holiday is going ahead as planned...….. not sure how with no flights from Gatwick anymore? I contacted them 6 days ago to discuss options, but so far not even an email acknowledgment of the request. There is no way I am paying them a pound more towards the holiday, which doesn't look like it will go ahead, and with the reviews on here I am certainly not going to see if I can pay it and then get a refund. What with the additional costs I can see me losing well over a thousand pounds to this diabolical excuse of a company. I have always used TUI in the past and have been happy with them, but I used Virgin holidays this year as it "appeared" to be a better perceived company...….how wrong I was. There is no excuse for poor customer service at any time, especially when they are fighting for their future....this is the time to be the best....not the worst at what you do. Sort it out Virgin Holidays or you will lose your entire customer base...

Excellent service. I booked another holiday with Virgin Holidays and the service was great. Yasmin was friendly, polite and very helpful. We have booked numerous holidays with Virgin holidays and they were perfect. No issues at all. Just a pity they closed their Derby branch but this holiday was booked over the phone and I cannot fault it. Would definitely recommend Virgin Holidays.

We booked a holiday for our family to celebrate the retirement of my Mum and Dad. They took care of everything for us from the flight to London - San Fran, San Fran to Las Vegas and Las Vegas to Manchester. They took care of all the transfers and nothing was too much trouble. A true flawless company to book with.

We went to Virgin Holidays in Next, Hedge End, to enquire about a holiday to Disney World Florida. We booked the appointment online and just happened to get the lovely Jen Lea as our advisor. We had done a little research online, so we knew what most things would cost us individually but we wanted to see what the cost would be though a travel agent. We were absolutely blown away not only with Jen’s knowledge but also her enthusiasm about all things Disney! We loved the random little facts that she shared with us and genuinely feel that she cared about making our holiday magical. She found us the most amazing deal and we were shocked by the price. We were then even more surprised when we had a call the next day to say there was a black Friday sale! We decided to go for it and book the holiday but we needed to make a slight change to our dates. Unfortunately by this point Jen had gone on a rather lovely sounding Disney Cruise so we couldn’t book through her in the end. I hope that her superiors still acknowledged her contribution to booking our holiday though, I genuinely don’t know if we would have booked through Virgin if it weren’t for the service that Jen provided! Would HIGHLY recommend!!!

Was dreading the thought of calling Virgin Holidays after the fiasco of refunds and not being able to speak to anyone in the summer due to Covid cutbacks. But all seemed back to normal now, the phone was answered quickly and was able to change our holiday with ease, we spoke to a wonderfully cheerful lady called Tanya Pendley, she was just amazing! Thanks Virgin we're looking forward again to our next adventure with you at the end of this year.

My family and I have enjoyed several holidays booked with Virgin Holidays since 2000, Holidays, Hotels, Car Hire. They have exceeded my expectation on value for money, services, etc on every occasion. I have, and still suffer a no refund for £3k holiday booked with Holiday Gems back in Jan 2020 (Have booked several holidays with them in recent years) so I hear the shouts from others in the same situation on here. Most travel / holiday companies seem to be, for what ever reason employing the same tactics, I don't really understand why, I will never book another holiday with Holiday Gems, no doubt all others suffering the same fate with VH will do the same. Had Holiday Gems refunded within a reasonable time frame I would have remained a repeat customer for the next 10 years. Same rules apply here I feel, WHY?

I recently had an issue with a holiday refund and wanted some clarity over time scales, I spoke to a lovely called Sam in the Customer Care team who was so helpful and polite. Thanks for a great service.

Went into the Virgin store in Milton Keynes just yesterday (Sunday 01st March) and was greeted with a very warm welcome. From the moment we entered the store the staff were very friendly and professional. There's not many places make you a drink upon your entry into their showroom. Anne-Marie was fantastic. Couldn't have been more helpful. We have booked our 2 week trip to Thailand for later this year. She carefully went through all the details, not only of the holiday itself but also all the health regulations, especially with coronovirus so high on everyone's agenda. I have to say, I was really surprised at the level of service they have offered. I hope the holiday was as smooth as the process in store.

After being messed around for two weeks by Virgin call centre staff and broken promises to ring us back to sort out our totally wrong flight times to Barbados. We where getting desperate but finally made contact with Becky Peters from Crawley what a star Becky said what she was going to do and did it and rang us back when she said she would Thank You Becky.
