Assistant Sophie lee fantastic!!!

Can I just say this time of moment it has been really hard to get a refund, I was starting to get angry with the company and how long I was waiting... however today on the 6/5/2020 I got through to the perfect advisor called Sophie Lee. She was welsh from the accent and a credit to the company. She refunded my money after previously trying multiple times and getting angry how I was being passed on all the time. But honestly she was fantastic. Answered all questions , emailed me reassuring me and was a pleasure to speak to. Really great credit to the company I’m 25 years old and have never received service with a smile through the phone... I hope this gets sent to her and the directors on what a great job she is doing at this difficult time. Any one with problems getting a refund go and speak to Sophie ! She’s fantastic and sorted everything for me. She is the reason I will be re booking with TUI . Nothing else. Thanks Sophie.

Phoned Tui over two weeks ago about my refund not the credit was due to be away now Waited a hour to speak to someone was told my refund had been done would be in my account in a few days Been checking the bank everyday nothing gone in its over two weeks now I am now very cross as I double checked with the lady that it was ok Have sent three emails heard nothing been trying to phone everyday either engaged or tells you to ring back even got as far as the options to be told to busy to take my call I am a oap need my money back have always used Tui but this has put me of no way to treatpeople

I understand people’s frustrations but…

I understand people’s frustrations but I can only speak from my own personal experience and I don’t have a problem with TUI. My June holiday was not cancelled but for safety’s sake I went online and easily transferred it to next year instead. No admin charge but of course the holiday is dearer next year. The bigger picture I guess is that TUI are struggling at the moment for all sorts of Covid-19 related reasons but hopefully it will all get better again in due course.

Very quick refund

I know it’s hard for everyone who’s holidays have been cancelled or are in limbo, but I can honestly say I was shocked and very happy with how TUI dealt with my cancellation. We were due to fly on the 15/05 the holiday was cancelled on the 29/04 after reading lots of bad stuff online I was ready for a battle, I rang the day of cancellation and after quite a few attempts to get through and a long wait of over and hour I was put through. I explained that I didn’t want to wait for my credit note via email and would like to just get the ball rolling on a refund, the man I spoke to was lovely and got onto it straight away money was in my bank the next day by dinner time. I hope this gives a little hope to people who are waiting on their money, I don’t know why there are so many waiting and others are getting it quickly but I really hope everyone gets back what is owed. It’s hard for everyone and I do sympathise with all tui staff who are trying really hard to get everyone sorted good luck everyone. I would say I would book with tui again in future once everything is back to normal and things have settled.

Wonderful

I had a great holiday with TUI in July of last year, booking the holiday was simple. The flights were great and were on time on the way out but slightly late on the way home due to airport staff confusion. Our rep was extremely helpful when the hotel room went wrong All in all I am thankful for TUI as they were very helpful throughout

On hold for a while but quick refund

I don’t normally leave reviews but as Tui are getting a lot of negative comments I thought I’d share my experience.We were booked with first choice and were due to fly to Mexico 30/03/20 and when it was cancelled we immediately decided we would prefer our money back due to the uncertainty surrounding future travel abroad.I left it a number of weeks to contact Tui as they were obviously snowed under. I received the refund credit email a couple of weeks ago. On Monday 18/5/20 I decided to call and try and get through. I called a few times and was cut off but eventually got onto hold and was advised the wait was at least an hour. I was on hold for 1hr 45 mins, which is pretty poor in this day in age. You should at least be told where you are in the queue or have the option of a call back.However the reason for the 4 rating was I eventually got through to a gentleman called Timmy who processed my refund in around 20 mins, the money was in my account the next day. He explained I wouldn’t benefit from the 20% offer but I just preferred the money back.Hope this of help to someone, I think there is a lot of scaremongering regarding Tui in the press. Clearly they want to keep hold of everyone’s money if they can which is why the 20% has been offered but I can confirm that once I’d spoken to someone the refund was processed quickly and without fuss.
