Great Holiday

Booked a holiday from Gatwick to Cuba and we had a great time - The flight and the resort was top notch and the rep on the ground very helpful. Would book again

first trip to usa

virgin did it all flights hotels rental cars. in flight service much better than british airways. the hotels were very nice and in good locations, it was obvious virgin had gone to a lot of trouble to find out about the local area for the customers using the holiday service.

Booked with Wednesbury Virgin store

Booked with Wednesbury Virgin store, trip to Orlando, Florida, stayed in the Disney sports resorts. Couldn’t of had a more helpful input from the travel agents, I will certainly be returning for my next holiday and would highly recommend this store for future bookings.

Great holiday, you won’t get cashback.

Great holiday, but VH declined my £90 cashback on TopCashback 2 years after the booking. After speaking with TCB, VH only let you make queries within 12 months. A bit of a dirty trick!

I have booked 5 holidays with VH via…

I have booked 5 holidays with VH via their store and can’t fault them. Knowledgeable and helpful, good selection of holidays. I guess once you’ve experienced good service, you go back and I will do so again. I also prefer to fly Virgin Atlantic when I can so I’m a satisfied customer!

I had a holiday to Las Vegas booked with my partner for my 30th birthday. We were going to be going on 15th April this year. We have had some bad news in the family over the last few days which means I now have no childcare for this time. I spoke with Sharon in the customer service department and explained my situation and had accepted that I am now within a 50% cancellation fee period. Sharon was very understanding and agreed to refund my holiday at no charge. Sharon is one of the nicest people I have spoken with on the phone and I would like to say thank you to her. We are currently going through a difficult time and she has proved to me that there are companies out there who don’t just want to take your money. I will 100% come back to Virgin Holidays and would recommend them to anybody. Thank you Sharon.

Excellent customer service regardless of outcome.

Looking at the reviews on here, I’m going against the grain, but as sure as I will curse poor service, I will also recognise excellence.Travelled to Dubai during February school holidays to stay at the Hilton Double Trees Resort. All of the pre holiday stuff was great & straightforward, no issues. Flight was with Emirates, just meh, not Virgins fault as we’d heard great things about Emirates. On arrival at the hotel, after a long night flight with 2 grumpy adults & an even grumpier 5 year old, we were told by reception that our 2 double bed room was actually a room with 2 single beds. The only way the hotel could solve this was by upgrading us. To be honest I was too tired to question this & just paid the upgrade so we could get on with the holiday.On our return home, I contacted Virgin Holidays customer service via the back at home service. This was to offer feedback on the room issue we had faced. I was dealt with by Teresa Williams when Virgin replied. This was well within the stated contact time too, so no long wait.She contacted the hotel to get their version of events. The hotel said they have no rooms with single beds. I said if that was the case why were we told that & why we would then upgrade to a room that only had one double bed from a room that had 2 double beds, especially with a child! And when we had already paid for a better room during booking! It seemed like a pretty shameless money making ploy.Obviously there wasn’t a lot Teresa could do because we didn’t raise it there with the local rep & there was obviously something lost in translation. I was ok with this because it was a case of just stopping this happening again to someone else as it was frustrating more than a holiday spoiler, which is why I raised it.However, Teresa wasn’t done there. She said she would go back to the hotel & see if they were willing to offer anything as a goodwill gesture. As we were looking to return in May, if they did offer something great, if not, no tears.Well, having put us in touch with the hotels head of UK operations, who was very apologetic - I can vouch for the fact that Hilton Double Trees Resort in Dubai certainly value their customers & have gone above & beyond what I expected. In addition to this, I have to give Teresa & Virgin Holidays due credit - they dealt with the issue in hand fairly & in timely fashion. Not only that, as we were booking our next holiday with BA purely on availability, Teresa did not have to take any further action to seek any goodwill gesture. So it just goes to show, you don’t always have to benefit directly to deliver top level customer service.Thank you Virgin Holidays & Teresa!

Great Experience with Virgin

I have traveled with Virgin on 2 holidays now and have great experiences, hotels and transfers have been perfect, booking was easy, my only complaint would be the flight attendants, they are not as attentive and friendly as other airlines but it hasn't put me off booking with them again. I have always booked my holidays directly online as I used to work in travel and like to take my time researching and looking for the best destination, hotel and price. I recently visited their store in Kensington High Street and WOW i was very impressed, great ambiance and experience with extremely knowledgeable staff, one member in particular was Daniel, based on this experience I will be looking for my holidays at home and booking them in the store. I was having difficulty booking online, online chat with Mike Williams, he rang me and went through the whole booking procedure with me. very helpful, and knowledgable, a credit to customer service. If the holiday in April 2018, lives up to the experience so far, it will be fantastic.Thank you Mike for all your help
